Feeling in a style rut with your denim game? I love all the iterations of my jeans currently in my closet that wear on rotation, but sometimes no mater how loved a versatile wardrobe staple is you just need take a sartorial break from your object of desire. And that’s where the cargo pants come in!

The utility trend had a prominent presence on the Spring/Summer 19 runways (Fendi, Isabel Marant, Dries Van Noten), and is going strong with some street style influencers as well, here, here and here. And I’m fully on board with the 90s grunge staple!

I like to mix high and low, and the utility trend was made for this style mash-up. I have been practically living in this, also utilitarian, but luxe (recently thrifted) leather shirt. It looks equally good with a feminine ruffle, and obvi is the logical accompaniment to the cargo pant.

The neckline was made for a more delicate multi-chain waterfall necklace. And I had to add these Givenchy pearl drops (another big trend!). They look even more posh against the leather and military green on the pant.  And I love how the cheetah print oxfords break up the neutral palette.
