I went to Oaxaca, Mexico last October and the best thing I got was this cozy poncho! Well, of course there where a few more amazing pieces I picked that I cannot wait to break out once the weather is less frigid. This poncho is sold by the the famous Casa Oaxcaca restaurant in Oaxaca, Mexico (with may dining choices in town, this one merits numerous visits!). Their custom is to lend diners a poncho while sitting on the terrace in the evenings. They proved so popular they began to offer them for sale. You can find similar ones in the shops but theirs is lined and has a cute logo.

I also like how streamlined this piece is! I like volume, but sometimes less is more when dealing with knits. Wearing an extra chunky V-neck sweater underneath, I didn’t want to add more bulk. I kept the look tonal, again to maintain a more elongating silhouette.

Nothing else will do for this look but an extra chunky elaborate hoop in an antiqued silver metal finish. The lunch bag clutch is casual and luxe in buttery leather.
