VINTAGE CHEONGSAM AND FISHNETS

Cheongsam dress and fishnet socks

Another look of old faves acquired over the years. This cheongsam dress was bought for a wedding of a good friend, and it’s such an easy piece to wear and style. The sheath is a timeless silhouette and  teal color is very distinct. I topped it off with a vintage velvet corduroy jacket from I.Magnin, not sure where I got it anymore, have had it for so long. But it used to be a piece I reached for often, I’m glad I kept it, it’s a very casual yet elegant jacket.

I always regret not having bought several more pairs of these Uterque brogues while traveling in Spain a few years back. Not only do I love the style, but these turned out to one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have owned. The leather is just exceptionally soft, and I never had to break them in. I’m loving the fishnet trend, and will take every opportunity to put it int he mix. I like the unexpected pairing of the flirty fishnet with a masculine shoe.

I kept the jewelry game spare, but strong. The open-neck necklace with sculptural abstract tendrils offers a stark contrast to the traditionally feminine sheath. And no need to overload on the hand candy when rocking an oversized rhinestone snake ring.
